Background

I’m Bryan Denny (aka Mandlar), a 37 year-old web programmer. I currently live in Stokes County, where I’ve lived for most of my life.

I'm an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in History in 2009.

I've previously done Computer Technican work for Network Dynamics, Inc. (which is now the Networking division of SouthData, Inc.).

Current Status

I'm currently a web programmer for SouthData, Inc. in Mount Airy, NC (aka Mayberry).

In my spare time, I develop Android applications.

I'm a member of the radio reddit developer team. I built their open source Android app and am currently working on the new radio reddit 2.0 website.

I'm a moderator on the Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange.

Interests

I mostly specialize in web development, building and maintaining large web applications from the user interface to the database backend. I love working with mobile Android devices. I have a strong focus on C#, .NET, ASP.NET Web Forms/MVC, Javascript/jQuery, SQL, Java, and Android. See my résumé for more details.

I'm in the process of learning the French language and I lead a local Francophone group in Winston-Salem, NC.

I love to run! I decided to get into running in 2011 to try to stay fit and healthy since as a programmer I sit far too much. My latest development is barefoot/minimalist running with Vibram FiveFinger shoes.
