After reading stories like this, I really, really would like to develop for the iPhone/iTouch.
The biggest hurdle, however, is the fact that development of the iPhone/iTouch is restricted to Apple’s hardware only. In other words, if you don’t have a machine that can run OSX, you are out of luck. And I don’t have a machine that can run (or emulate) OSX. But I’d really like to purchase a Mac mini in the near future to overcome this problem. Unfortunately, that near future won’t be until I graduate and am making enough money to do so.
I just hope the “goldrush” for iPhone applications will last that long. A little extra side money never hurt anyone. At least I have time to come up with the ideas for the “next big app”, right?

Hells yeah! I’ll be right there with constructive criticism and an iPhone to help test! I was reading a good article the other day on another Hackintosh… using a Dell Mini 9! check it http://i.gizmodo.com/5156903/how-to-hackintosh-a-dell-mini-9-into-the-ultimate-os-x-netbook

I just wish I could get one of my machines to run as a Hackintosh. I am jealous of your laptop bro!
