IPOD UPDATE Posted on 10/16/07 at 11:17PM

So I upgraded my iPod firmware to 1.2.1 last night since I haven’t ran any updates for it in a loooonnnggg time.  Well, I get ready to go to class this morning and take my iPod with me to listen to on the way to class…  Well, I start to choose a playist and…..  there are none?!  And I check the music and….  it was all gone?!  Apparently upgrading the firmware had some adverse affect of wiping the iPod.  Except, when I plug it in to my desktop later I can see and play any of the tracks on my iPod!  Go figure, I’ll probably end up really wiping and reloading the thing (something I’ve really been wanting to do for awhile).

All I can say is hopefully it fixed the bug of my iPod always refusing to cut off whenever I want it to (either holding the pause/play button OR by choosing “sleep” in the menu).  It doesn’t do it all the time, only whenever I really want to turn it off.

However, if you are daring and want to spiffy up your old video iPod, you can give your older video iPod the newer classic iPod look.  I haven’t tried it, but it does look pretty neat.
